Tomorrow marks the first time in history that college football history we will have the first playoff, the first step to finding a "TRUE" champion. The following is a breakdown of the Semi-Final:
Rose Bowl
#2 Oregon vs #3 Florida State
This match places the "New Team" against the "Champions". Oregon comes from the Pac-12 which in my opinion is this years best conference. Florida State on the other hand comes from the ACC and went through the season winning games in the fourth quarter.
How Oregon can win: Do not let Florida State get into a groove and do not let Florida State stay in the game going into the 4th quarter.
How Florida State can win: Do not allow for big plays by the Oregon offense and try to stay close going into half.

Picks
Joe : Oregon 37 - 28
James: Florida State 37 - 31
Sugar Bowl
#1 Alabama vs #4 Ohio State
This game is being talked about as a battle between Nick Saban and Urban Meyer, but when you look at the teams you have Alabama who is football royalty known as a quit and professional team against Ohio State who is known for being a typical college football team. Alabama comes out of the strongest division in all of college football while Ohio State comes from the Big Ten which had a down year in 2014.
How Alabama can win: Offensive line can hold up against the Ohio State defense front and Sims does not give up the ball.
How Ohio State can win: Adapt the offense to the third new quarterback, and if they can get pressure to force Blake Sims into mistakes.
Picks
Joe: Alabama 28 - 24
James: Alabama 31 - 28
